People try to do different things and come up with some very creative poses that involve themselves and the Bean in the background.

But the really amazing ones are the “right-after-marriage” photoshoots at the Bean!

Michigan Avenue, The Magnificent Mile

Finally I got a day of no rain to visit downtown, and I could not resist visiting the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of John Hancock Tower.

This is the view to the South of John Hancock Tower. The Aon Center and Prudential Plaza are prominently visible.

From 1000 ft above ground, this view is to the South-West of John Hancock Tower. The rightmost skyscraper is Willis Tower, a little off the center is Trump Tower (the second tallest building in the world having residences), and to the left is the Aon Center. Chicago is a city of skyscrapers, and some amazing architecture! For more on Chicago’s architecture, click here.

#295 Tulips on the Magnificent Mile

The first time I heard or read the word Tulip was sometime in kindergarten. As with all uncommon flowers, I did not care to remember what they looked like in the book. There was also a guy named Tulip in my college, and I think Tulip Joshi is one of the prettiest persons I have seen in Bollywood. But honestly, I did not know what tulips looked like, till last month! In Spring, you can find Tulips almost everywhere in and around Chicago. I am not sure of other places. One particular place in Chicago has been well advertised for tourism: The Michigan Avenue, or the Magnificent Mile.

Pretty, aren’t they?

#207 Evanston’s Shore of Lake Michigan

This Saturday, I headed to a random place in Evanston, The Grosse Point Lighthouse. The place was just fine, well maintained over the century, but what caught my eyes, and certainly my camera’s lens, was the beautiful Lake Michigan once again :)

I stay pretty close to the Northwestern University, and the city of Evanston is kind of centered around the NU Campus. NU was founded by John Evans, and the city of Evanston owes its name to him!

Kellogg School of Management, one of the top ranked management schools in the world. Noteworthy alumni list includes Philip Kotler and Andris Zoltners (The “Z” in ZS:)

The Grosse Point Lighthouse was the first lighthouse on the North Chicago shore and is a historic place.

#205 Evanston

So here I am, far far west this year!

Flew to Chicago on Sep 15th for office work and it seems I would be here for a few months before going back to Indo.

Where I stay and work is located by the shore of Lake Michigan, the largest fresh water lake completely inside USA. It is absolutely blue and very beautiful from the shore. Here are some pics from the shore in Evanston.
